Survey-Grade Measurement, Brought to Your Renovation
We use the Leica iCON iCS50, a robotic construction sensor designed for layout and 3D measurement, together with the Leica vPen, a wireless measuring pen designed for digital templating, and Leica iCON trades software for capturing and drawing on site.
Real points, not estimated lengths
The sensor is set up on a tripod and automatically tracks the vPen. When the tip of the pen touches a point, the system records its exact 3D position. The result is a digital model built from real points rather than estimated lengths.
Why it matters for your project
Touch-to-measure
The pen can capture edges, corners and hidden points without the need to attach targets, and can measure on any surface, including glass.
Complex shapes made simple
Curves, angles and cut-outs are captured as points and drawn digitally.
Drawn on site
Offsets, profiles and cut-outs are added in the field, so a template can be ready for a fabricator’s CNC machine soon after.
Errors caught early
The sensor monitors its own position and raises an alarm if it moves, which helps protect accuracy during a job.
Compact and one-person
The system is set up and operated by one person, so there is minimal disruption in your home.
